Refund and Cancellation Policy
- This policy shall be called ‘the refund and cancellation policy’ of ‘www.vallavanemporium.com’ and the mobile phone application called ‘Vallavan Emporium’ herein after called as ‘the platform’.
- Any words that are not defined in this policy shall have the meaning assigned to them in the ‘Terms and Conditions’
- In order to reduce any food wastage, the buyer shall be provided with a window of one minute from the time of placing their order to cancel the same.
- The buyer shall not have the option to cancel their order after the expiry one minute from the time of placing the order.
- The platform reserves the right to cancel the order of a buyer for reasons not attributable to the platform, including but not limited to:
- The delivery address provided by the buyer is outside the scope of delivery of the platform;
- The buyer not responding to any attempt to contact by the delivery partner;
- Unavailability of any or all items ordered by a buyer for a merchant.
- The platform shall attempt to contact the buyer in case of a situation as contemplated in para 5(c) above and offer any other alternatives for the same cost of the unavailable item. If the buyer is not interested in the alternatives his/her order will be cancelled.
- In case of prepaid orders, the buyer shall be entitled for a full refund if the buyer cancels the order with one minute from the time of placing the order and in case of situation as contemplated in para 6 above. The buyer shall also be entitled to a full refund in case of any fault or error on part of the platform and/or the merchant.
- The platform shall issue the refund to the buyers within seven working days from the date of cancellation.
- The buyers shall be liable to pay a fine in case of cancellation due to the reasons in para 5 (a) and 5 (b) and for reasons including to and not limited to the fault or error on the part of the buyer.
- In case of refunds and imposition of a fine the decision of the platform shall be final and binding.
- Any failure on the part of the buyer to comply with the imposition of any fine will lead to a ban from the use of the platform and also a right against the buyer in a civil Court for any amounts due to the platform.
